Angel Gallery is a 15th century Grade II wool merchant’s residence with a wealth of oak beams situated in the historic Market Place overlooking the Guildhall.
The Gallery, a splendid beamed area with historic arches, houses exhibitions by local and national artists.
Permanent collections are held of the work of Leslie Gibson A.R.C.A (1910 – 1969) and costume drawings form the 1930’s by Mary Wild A.R.C.A. Pottery by John Leach is also on exhibition.

Animals and birds are often carve in pairs or groups to add life and movement to the composition. Pieces are always freestanding and often finely balanced.
Felicity works from photographs and drawings, and apart from the initial rough blocking out on a banks saw, all work is done by hand – including the sharpening of chisels.
Carvings are sandpapered to a silky finish and several coast of wax polish are applied, to give the wood a natural lustre.

FELICITY AUDEN
Felcity Auden is a self-taught woodcarver. After a Fine Art Foundation and training as a landscape architect she decided to pursue a career in woodcarving in 1979. This was aided considerably by the girt of a superb set of old cabinet-makers tools an workbench by a distant relative.
Felcity’s first workshop was in Clerkenwell, London. Subsequently she has worked in rural East Sussex and in Cardiff.
Her career has been interspersed with raising a family. She lives in Cardiff with her husband, who is an urban designer and landscape architect, and her three children.
Felicity’s subjects are usually British wildlife and her preferred woods are European hardwoods, particularly sycamore, cherry and ash. Carvings are always from a single piece of wood and
